Invasive Plant Removal @ OWD CR – July 27

Join the Wareham Land Trust as we venture onto the Conservation Restriction (CR) we have on the Onset Water District (OWD) property. The first half of this program will be an introduction to common invasive species in the area and a quick lesson on how to identify them. During the second half of this program, we will be removing Japanese knotweed, shrub honeysuckle, and other invasive plants from the property using loppers, clippers, and handsaws. (Note: All tools will be provided!)

Location: We will meet at the OWD office located at 15 Sand Pond Rd, Onset, MA 02558 and carpool or caravan to the removal site from there.

Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm

Please where sturdy shoes, long pants, and bring work gloves. Also consider bringing water and bug spray.
