Land Trust and Garden Club Team up for Tree Event
The Wareham Land Trust and the Wareham Garden club are excited to host the city of New Bedford’s arborist for an inspiring presentation and free community gathering.
On Saturday, February 25th the Wareham Land Trust and the Wareham Garden Club will host Chance Perks, the arborist for the city of New Bedford, for a presentation about trees in cities and towns and how to manage them. This free event will be held at the Old Methodist Meeting House at 495 Main Street in Wareham. The presentation will begin at 10am and light refreshments will be served.
As an arborist, Perks tends to the health and beauty of the public landscape in New Bedford. Perks sums up his mission by saying, “educating the public as to their role in our global ecology is my foremost daily initiative and I support this action by accomplishing projects that maintain a high quality of life for fellow community members.”
All are welcome to attend this event, but it will be particularly interesting to anyone who wants to learn more about natural landscapes and their effect on our cities and towns. You’ll sit alongside friendly Wareham Land Trust and Wareham Garden Club board members, members, and volunteers. We hope to see you there!
