Farmers work very hard to ensure that the trees in the apple orchard have enough space to grow, good drainage from a gentle slope on the land, and a climate that will optimize growth.

Apple picking is a great way to appreciate the work put into the crops by farmers and migrant workers, and enjoy the wonderful fall weather. To participate in this awesome autumn activity, visit a local apple orchard in Acushnet, East Bridgewater, or Dartmouth to pick some apples for a sweet treat!

There are also several recipes that can be prepared with crab apples that are found right here in Wareham, so check out this link!
