TerraCorps (AmeriCorps) Position Available with the Wareham Land Trust
TerraCorps, an AmeriCorps affiliated environmental nonprofit, has selected the Wareham Land Trust to be a Service Site for the 2022-23 TerraCorps program year. This partnership will allow the Wareham Land Trust to host one Land Stewardship Coordinator in a full-time 11-month service position from August 2022 to July 2023.
As part of TerraCorps, Members will spend their service term supporting the local community by developing partnerships, leading programming, and engaging with volunteers. This year, the Wareham Land Trust Member will likely focus on 1). development of property management plans, including field mapping, natural resource inventories, and historical property research; 2). engaging the public in trail and property improvement projects; and 3) expanding upon WLT’s existing invasive species management activities. However, projects can be tailored to meet Members’ interests. Members will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience serving with a local nonprofit and will receive professional development training and mentorship.
